Privacy Policy
Effective date: September 26, 2026
1. Overview
Pogaem (the “Company”) values your privacy and processes personal information as described below in accordance with applicable laws. This policy applies to the Pogaem app (the “Service”).
2. Personal information we collect
We collect only the minimum information necessary to provide the Service.
- Account information: email address, display name (profile name), and the account identifier assigned by a social login provider
- Content you save: photos and videos you take or add, media metadata (capture time, local date, time-zone offset, file size, duration, and checksum for integrity verification), notes, calendar names, and settings. Only when you explicitly enable location for a calendar, we also store latitude, longitude, accuracy embedded in selected media, and any place label you enter.
- Service settings: photo reminder settings and your advertising measurement consent choice stored on this device
- Automatically generated information: app usage events (such as screen views and feature usage) and their timestamps, acquisition-source and campaign information, device information (OS version, device model, app version, language and country settings), app instance identifier, and diagnostic information when an error or crash occurs (stack trace and device state at the time)
- Push notification token: an identifier issued to your device for service notices
- Subscription and payment verification information: plan, app marketplace, product identifier, subscription status and period, payment or refund status and time, payment or refund amount and currency, and transaction identifiers assigned by the app marketplace. We do not store card numbers, marketplace account passwords, or full receipts.
- Support information: inquiry category, subject, inquiry and follow-up messages, staff replies, status, and creation and read timestamps
3. How we collect information
- When you sign in with Google or Kakao, we receive account information from that provider.
- We collect information that you provide when taking, selecting, or saving photos and videos, writing notes, or creating calendars in the app.
- After you enable location for a calendar, we read capture coordinates embedded in media that you add. We also collect location information that you add or edit directly on the map.
- Usage records, device information, and diagnostics are generated and collected automatically through analytics and crash-reporting tools while you use the Service.
- When you purchase, renew, change, or refund a paid plan, we receive verified subscription and transaction information from Apple App Store or Google Play.
- When you submit an inquiry or follow-up message through in-app support, we collect the information you enter.
4. How we use personal information
- Identify members and maintain sign-in sessions
- Store and synchronize photos, videos, notes, and calendars across devices
- Let you browse photos by capture location and add, edit, or remove locations in calendars where location is enabled
- Provide features you configure, including photo reminders
- Respond to inquiries and service errors
- Diagnose crashes and improve reliability
- Analyze feature usage and acquisition sources to improve service quality
- With your optional consent, store advertising-related information needed to measure ad traffic and sign-up results
- Send subscription and operational notices
- Verify paid-plan access, restore subscription status across devices, and show in-app payment history
5. Retention period
- Except where otherwise specified below, we retain information while your account remains active and delete it without delay when you close your account.
- After all paid access ends, we retain cloud photo and video originals for one year, then keep up to 1 GB of the most recent originals and delete the rest. This includes shared calendars you own and media uploaded by members. This cloud cleanup does not delete calendars, entries, notes, or files already stored on this device.
- You may delete individual photos, videos, and calendars directly in the app at any time.
- Where the law requires retention for a specified period, the relevant information is stored separately for that period and then deleted.
6. Deletion procedure and method
Personal information is deleted without delay when its retention period expires or its processing purpose has been fulfilled. Electronic files are deleted using methods that prevent recovery.
7. Disclosure to third parties
We do not provide your personal information to third parties, except when law enforcement or another authority makes a lawful request under applicable law.
Photos, videos, and notes you save are used only to provide the Service. They are not used to train AI models or for separate content analysis. Media, note contents, and precise locations are not sent to analytics tools. When you use the map, Google Maps SDK may process the map viewport, coordinates, and technical information only as necessary to display the map.
8. Service providers and international transfers
We engage the following service providers to operate the Service reliably.
- Supabase, Inc. / Purpose: authentication, database, and server functions / Data: account information, user content excluding photo and video files, service settings, and subscription and payment verification information / Location: Seoul, Republic of Korea (ap-northeast-2) / Retention: until account deletion or termination of the service agreement, except where law requires longer retention

9. Your rights and how to exercise them
- You may request access, correction, deletion, or suspension of processing of your personal information at any time.
- You can delete saved photos, videos, and calendars directly in the app.
- You can disable or re-enable location for each calendar and remove stored locations from individual media or the entire calendar.
- You can request deletion of your account and all related data from Settings → Account.
- Advertising measurement consent is optional and off by default. You can grant or withdraw it at any time in Settings → Privacy settings → Advertising measurement. Turning it off stops information storage for future advertising measurement. Declining consent does not affect core features such as saving and sharing photos, or general usage analytics for service improvements.
- Advertising measurement through this setting does not use advertising identifiers, and enabling this setting does not enable personalized ads.
- For other requests, contact contact@alphaca.kr and we will respond without undue delay.
10. Device permissions
The Service uses the optional permissions below. If you decline a permission, you can still use the Service except for the related feature.
- Camera: used to take photos or record videos up to 30 seconds in the app.
- Notifications: used to send photo reminders that you configure.
- Direct photo and video selection: the in-app browser displays albums and permitted photos and videos from your device library. Only the originals you explicitly select are copied into app-controlled storage and then processed for calendar storage; originals in your library are never modified or deleted. If you grant limited access on iOS or Android, the Service displays and processes only the permitted items. Choosing “Add with photo picker” opens the operating system photo picker, and that fallback accesses only the items you select there.
- Photo and video library: optionally requested when you use the in-app photo/video browser or “Create calendar from album.” It is used only to display albums, permitted media and capture information, and to save your selection by date. Whole-album import copies photos only; if an album contains videos, the Service first warns that those videos will be excluded. If you decline, taking media, creating calendars, and other features remain available, as does the operating system photo-picker fallback on iOS and Android. You may revoke access in device settings at any time.
- Media location: the Service does not request live device-location permission. It reads capture coordinates embedded in a file only when you add media to a calendar for which you explicitly enabled location. Locations in a private calendar are visible only to you; locations in a shared calendar are visible to its members. You can remove a stored location at any time.
11. Security measures
- Photos and videos are stored in private storage that is not directly accessible from outside, with access controls that allow only the authenticated owner or authorized shared-calendar participants to view them.
- Row-level access control is applied to the database to prevent access to other users’ data.
- All communication between the app and servers uses encrypted connections.
12. Children under 14
The Service does not accept registrations from children under 14 and does not knowingly collect their personal information. If discovered, the relevant account and information will be deleted.
13. Advertising and paid services
The Service currently does not display advertisements. Paid subscriptions are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play, and we process only the minimum verification information needed to confirm plan access and provide in-app payment history.
