What to Check When Pogaem Cloud Storage Is Full

When Pogaem cloud storage fills up, new media may stay only on your phone. Check local copies, make space, and verify uploads before changing devices.

Do photos disappear when storage is full?

Your entries remain on your current device when storage runs low, but new files may not reach the cloud. Seeing an entry on screen does not mean it can be restored on another device.

First check the local copy in Pogaem. For media imported from your gallery, you can also check the gallery original. Do not assume that files captured or processed in the app are always saved separately to your gallery.

Check local entries and cloud uploads separately

A photo appearing in Pogaem on your current device does not mean its cloud upload has finished. Entries added when storage was full may still be visible even though their uploads are incomplete.

If you plan to change phones or clear your current device, do not reset it after checking local copies alone. First verify successful cloud uploads, and check the gallery originals for media imported from your gallery.

How to resolve a storage shortage

  1. Open Pogaem's storage status to confirm that insufficient space is the cause.

  2. Check that your local entries and media copies remain in Pogaem. For imported media, also check the gallery originals.

  3. Review how much you have recorded and how much space you expect to need, then decide how to make room.

  4. If needed, compare Free's 1GB, Lite's 20GB, and Premium's 100GB allowances.

  5. After making room, check your network connection and review the upload status of interrupted entries.

Videos can affect storage more than the number of photos

Two calendars with the same number of entries can use space at different rates if one contains frequent videos. Video entries require Lite or above, so compare both video support and total storage when choosing a plan.

Use your past month's usage to estimate how much space you may need in a few months. This can help you avoid clearing the immediate shortage only to encounter it again soon.

Take extra care before changing phones

If you reset your old phone while storage limits are blocking uploads, local entries and media that never reached the cloud may be unavailable on the new device. Check synchronization and upload status before changing phones.

You can also create a separate ZIP backup of important personal calendars after ensuring internet access and sufficient free space on your device. Creating the ZIP itself requires adequate space.

Check the cause before repeatedly retrying uploads

Retrying the same upload repeatedly will not resolve a lack of space. Read the storage warning, check the local copies on your current device, and make room before trying again.

After resolving the issue, check the upload of one new entry, then review every entry whose upload was previously interrupted.

Frequently asked questions

Does full Pogaem cloud storage delete photos from my phone?

A full cloud allowance does not itself delete gallery photos or Pogaem entries remaining on your current device. However, new photos and videos may not be saved to the cloud.

Does selecting an entry while storage is full mean it is backed up?

Selecting an entry and completing its upload are different. If storage is full, check upload status separately and avoid hastily deleting Pogaem entries or local media copies from your current device.

How much Pogaem cloud storage does each plan include?

Free includes 1GB, Lite 20GB, and Premium 100GB. Confirm the final price and terms on the app's payment screen.
