What the ZIP contains
Back up photos, videos, and notes available for export from a personal calendar. Unlike a readable PDF document, ZIP focuses on keeping the materials that make up the record together.
Video inclusion is a major difference from PDF. Media unavailable both locally and in the cloud may be omitted, and Pogaem then shows a completion notice identifying missing items.
ZIP backup is for personal calendars
This backup targets personal calendars. It does not export an entire multi-person shared calendar through the same flow.
Check calendar type before starting, especially if similarly named personal and shared calendars could be confused.
Internet requirements depend on original-file locations
If every photo and video original is on the current device, a ZIP can be made offline. Internet is required when missing local media must be downloaded from the cloud.
Both cases need device space to create the archive. Many videos can make the result large; cloud downloads also benefit from a stable connection rather than an unreliable network while traveling.
Check whether cloud originals must be retrieved.
Keep Wi-Fi or stable mobile data available for remote downloads.
Allow enough device storage for photos and videos.
Check that the battery is sufficient.
Create a ZIP backup
Confirm that the target is a personal calendar.
Connect if remote media is needed and check available device space.
Start ZIP Backup in the calendar export flow.
Keep the connection during remote downloads and wait for completion.
Read missing-item notices and verify that the generated ZIP opens.
Check expected photos, videos, and notes, then store the file in a separate safe location.
A backup is complete only after checking the file
Do not erase or replace the old device based solely on completion. A ZIP can still be created with missing media, so review both the notice and actual contents.
Important records should not exist in only one place on the same device. After moving the backup, verify access from its new storage location too.
Backup and sync do not replace each other
Sync keeps current records available across devices; ZIP preserves a point-in-time material copy. Before changing phones, check sync on the old device and prepare separate ZIP copies of important personal calendars for their distinct purpose.
Later records do not automatically enter an existing archive. Make a new backup when needed to include them.
Frequently asked questions
Can I back up a shared calendar as ZIP?
No. This flow targets personal calendars and does not export a whole shared calendar the same way.
Does ZIP include videos and notes?
It includes accessible personal-calendar photos, videos, and notes. Media absent both locally and remotely may be omitted, so check missing-item notices and archive contents.
Does ZIP backup need internet?
It can work offline if all originals are local. Cloud retrieval needs internet; both cases require available device space.
