Use whichever is easier: a code or a link
There are two ways to join a shared calendar: enter its 8-character invite code or open the invite link sent by its owner. If a messenger or device setting prevents the link from opening, you can request the code for the same invitation and enter it directly.
Accepting an invitation requires the server to check the calendar and membership conditions. Unlike viewing previously downloaded photos, this cannot be completed offline. Use a stable connection.
How to join with an 8-character invite code
Check that the code contains all eight characters with no extra spaces, then accept it on Pogaem's invite-code screen. After joining, you return to Home, and the shared calendar's contents may synchronize afterward.
Get an 8-character invite code from the calendar owner.
Open Enter Invite Code in Pogaem.
Enter all eight characters of the code.
Check your internet connection and tap Join.
After the success message, check that the new shared calendar appears on Home.
An invite link takes you directly to confirmation
On a device with Pogaem installed, tapping an invite link opens that invitation's confirmation screen without requiring you to retype the code. If the link does not open the app or you want to join on another device, request the 8-character code from the owner too.
If you already belong to the calendar, the app does not create a duplicate membership. Check the existing calendar on Home; if it is missing from the list, refresh or allow a little time for synchronization.
What to check if you cannot join
Even a correctly sized code may fail if the invitation has expired, been canceled, or already been used, or if your account has reached its joined-calendar limit. Read the error message and work out the next step with the owner.
Check that you are connected to the internet.
Check that the code contains exactly eight characters.
Ask the owner for a new invitation if the previous one has expired.
Check Home to see whether you have already joined the calendar.
If you have reached the joined shared-calendar limit, leave a calendar you no longer use.
Free members can accept invitations too
Invitees can join shared calendars on the Free plan. However, conditions for some features, including shared storage and videos, depend on the calendar owner's plan rather than each participant's plan.
All plans allow unlimited participants in a shared calendar. Each person can join up to 10 shared calendars owned by other people. Each invitation can be used by one person and remains valid for seven days after creation.
Send invitations only to people you want to record with
An invite code or link is a key to the shared calendar, so send it only to people you intend to share photos and entries with. If someone joins by mistake, the owner can remove them from the members screen, or the participant can leave while connected to the internet.
Frequently asked questions
How long is a Pogaem shared calendar invite code?
The code entered manually is eight characters long. An invite link can take you to the confirmation screen without requiring code entry.
Can I enter an invite code without internet access?
You can enter it, but accepting the invitation requires server verification and cannot finish offline. Connect to the internet and try again.
Can someone on Free join a shared calendar invitation?
Yes. People on Free can accept invitations. Some features, including shared videos, follow the calendar owner's plan conditions.
