Updates gathers shared activity
Across several shared calendars, comments, photos, videos, and joining members appear on different dates. Updates is Pogaem's in-app inbox gathering those activities chronologically.
Even if you miss a phone banner, you can revisit recent activity inside the app. Different backgrounds and markers distinguish unread items.
Each update type has a destination
Tapping does not wait for read-state processing before navigation. The interface marks the item read immediately and opens its destination while saving the status in the background, avoiding a stalled first tap on slow connections.
New comments open the entry receiving the comment.
New shared photo or video records open that entry's details.
New-member alerts open the calendar's member screen.
General notices without a destination can be read in the Updates body.
Follow a comment to its context
Open Updates from the top of Pogaem.
Find the comment notification showing author and calendar name.
Tap it to open the dated entry's details.
Review the new comment alongside earlier conversation below the entry.
Unavailable entries fall back to the calendar
A notification may remain after the original entry is deleted or access ends. Instead of freezing or displaying a blank page, the app explains that the entry was deleted or is no longer accessible.
It opens the calendar if available, otherwise Home. A record still syncing from another device may arrive while you remain in the calendar.
Phone banners and Updates serve different purposes
Operating-system banners announce new activity immediately; the in-app inbox helps find past activity. Silencing system banners is separate from reviewing already-created updates.
Disabling a notification type itself may change which future notifications are generated. Keep useful shared calendars enabled and adjust less relevant ones individually.
Check the calendar name among mixed activity
Each row identifies both the actor and the calendar. The calendar name restores context quickly when family, travel, and couple entries have similar dates.
Reply through comments below the opened entry, or inspect member roles in the member list. The inbox is the starting point for reaching those activities.
Frequently asked questions
Where does a new-comment alert open?
It opens the shared-calendar entry containing the comment. Review new and previous comments below that entry.
Will tapping an alert for a deleted record produce an error page?
No. The app explains that the original cannot be opened, then goes to an available calendar or Home instead of staying on deleted details.
Must I wait for read status to save before opening the destination?
No. The screen marks it read and navigates immediately while the server update proceeds separately.
