Start with device notification permission
If device settings block Pogaem notifications, entry reminders will not appear even with every in-app switch on. If a permission notice appears at the top of Pogaem's notification screen, use its button to request permission or open system notification settings and allow it.
A device that previously denied notification permission may not let the app show the request again. In that case, find Pogaem in your phone's app notification settings and enable it directly.
Check the overall entry-reminder switch
Even with system permission granted, turning off Pogaem's overall Entry Reminders switch stops all scheduled entry reminders. If comment or announcement pushes arrive but reminders do not, check this switch first.
Turning it back on schedules reminders on this device using the saved per-calendar rules. If saving fails and the switch returns to its previous position, try again after a short while.
Check each calendar's days, time, and switch
If the issue affects only one calendar, its individual reminder may be disabled or today's weekday may not be selected. Check the time, at least one weekday, and the individual switch together on the calendar reminder screen.
Check that the calendar needing reminders is active.
Check that today's weekday is selected.
Check that you did not mix up AM and PM.
Check that the calendar's individual reminder switch is on.
Your phone's display settings also matter
Even with Pogaem notifications allowed, Do Not Disturb, Focus, lock-screen visibility, and sound settings can make notifications arrive quietly. If an alert is in Notification Center but had no banner or sound, review system display settings rather than the app's settings.
Battery optimization on some Android devices can delay background notifications. Entry reminders are not alarms requiring exact timing, so they may appear a little late in power-saving conditions.
Save the settings again to create a fresh schedule
If permission and all switches look correct, set the affected calendar to a nearby upcoming time and save it to create a fresh schedule. You do not need to fully close the app after saving. Wait until the next scheduled occurrence and check whether it appears.
Open reminder settings for the affected calendar.
Include today's weekday and choose a time shortly after the current time.
Save with the individual switch enabled.
Leave Pogaem in the background and wait for the next reminder time.
If it still does not arrive, recheck system notification settings and try again after restarting the device.
Set schedules again on a new phone
Entry reminders are stored and scheduled on your current device, rather than in a server account, so an old phone's schedules do not automatically follow you. Even if calendars appear after login, configure system permission, the overall switch, and each calendar's days and time on the new device.
Frequently asked questions
Why do comments arrive but entry reminders do not?
Comments use server pushes, while entry reminders use local device schedules. Check Pogaem's overall entry-reminder switch, the affected calendar's schedule, and system notification permission separately.
Can I enable notification permission in the app after denying it?
Some devices will not show the permission prompt again. Use Open System Settings on Pogaem's notification screen, or allow Pogaem directly in your phone's app notification settings.
Can a reminder arrive a little later than its scheduled time?
Yes. Entry reminders are repeating notifications that respect device power-saving policies, so their display may be delayed by Do Not Disturb or battery optimization.
