Give each calendar its own rhythm

Pogaem lets calendars use separate days and times: evenings for parenting, workout days for exercise, or weekends for plants. Matching real routines can reduce the urge to disable all reminders because they are too frequent.

These are local notifications scheduled by the phone, not server pushes. Once scheduled correctly, they can work without a network, but their settings do not automatically transfer to another device.

Set recording reminders

Check three layers: system permission, Pogaem's global recording-reminder switch, and the calendar schedule. If any is off, selecting a time and day alone will not produce a visible alert.

  1. Open Notifications in Pogaem settings and confirm device notification permission.

  2. Enable the global recording-reminder switch.

  3. Select a calendar in the per-calendar notification list.

  4. Choose a time and at least one weekday.

  5. Enable that calendar's reminder switch and confirm the saved result.

Global disabling preserves the schedule

Turning off all recording reminders temporarily does not erase calendar-specific times or days. Reenabling after a busy period reapplies the saved schedules.

Calendars individually disabled remain unscheduled even when the global switch is on. The global gate and each calendar's enabled state are separate.

Choose days that suit the topic

Base reminders on when you can organize photos, not only when you want to create memories. If immediate recording is difficult, an available evening or weekend is fine.

  • Children and pets: a consistent end-of-day time for daily changes.

  • Exercise or study: the day and time after scheduled activity.

  • Travel: a convenient trip time, then disable it afterward.

  • Plants and hobbies: the same weekday once a week for slower changes.

Why the displayed time may vary

Reminders are scheduled to repeat around the chosen time, but phone power-saving and notification policies may delay display. Treat them as habit prompts rather than minute-precise appointment alarms.

Do Not Disturb, Focus, and manufacturer battery optimization also affect sounds and banners. If in-app settings are enabled, check system settings next.

Tap through to today's entry

A recording reminder leads into starting today's entry in that calendar. Connecting it to one photo and one sentence, rather than only dismissing it, can help turn selected days into a practical routine.

Frequently asked questions

Can calendars remind me at different times?

Yes. Set each calendar's days and time separately, with both global and individual switches enabled.

Do reminders work offline?

Yes. Correctly scheduled recording reminders are local to the current device and can work without internet.

Must I reenter schedules after toggling all reminders off and on?

No. Calendar-specific days and times remain saved and are rescheduled when enabled again.
