Covers and order make calendars easier to find

With many calendars, distinct covers and useful ordering can be faster than reading every name. A cover becomes a visual label, while Home order reduces the distance to frequently opened records.

Choose recognizable themes such as travel, family, or exercise and put everyday calendars first. This simplifies navigation while preserving the underlying features and content.

Change a calendar cover

Open the calendar's settings and choose an existing calendar photo or a device-gallery image. Even a new calendar without entries can use a gallery cover.

  1. Open the target calendar from Home.

  2. Go to Calendar Settings and tap the representative-image option.

  3. Choose Calendar Photos or Device Gallery.

  4. Select an image whose subject stays clear on a small Home card.

  5. Return Home and check the updated cover.

Gallery covers are separate from diary records

A gallery-selected cover is a dedicated decorative image, not a dated photo entry. It changes the Home card without increasing entry counts or Photolapse frames.

To include the image in dated records too, add it through entry creation separately. Cover selection and recording are different actions.

Reorder Home cards

Long-press a calendar card and drag it to the desired position. The final Add Calendar card is a fixed entry point; organize the calendar cards around it.

  1. Long-press the calendar card to move.

  2. When it becomes draggable, move it to the desired position.

  3. Order frequent and occasional calendars appropriately.

  4. Release and check that names and covers are in the expected places.

Choose an order that stays useful

Usage frequency and recording period provide a sustainable order. Everyday calendars first and completed trips or seasonal calendars later reduce searching when adding photos.

  • Put daily family and parenting calendars first.

  • Follow with exercise or hobby calendars used two or three times a week.

  • Keep completed trips toward the back for revisiting.

  • Use distinct cover colors for similarly named calendars.

The owner chooses a shared calendar's cover

The owner changes calendar-wide settings such as its cover. Participants do not set separate covers visible only to themselves.

Home order organizes your own navigation. Even without cover-editing permission, place frequently used calendars first using their existing names and covers.

Can a shared participant change the cover?

The owner changes the calendar-wide cover. Separate participant-specific covers are not supported.
