Save media grouped in one entry together

If an entry contains several photos and short videos, save them to the device gallery without opening each individually. A clearly bounded entry download is useful for one travel day or a child's particular moment. Saving a single original is free; batch downloads of multiple originals are available with Lite and Premium.

Text-only entries do not show this menu. It is available only when at least one photo or video is present.

Save an entry's media

  1. Open the diary entry from the calendar.

  2. Tap the upper-right more menu.

  3. Choose Download Media.

  4. Watch the processed count, then review saved and failed counts in the completion message.

Photos are processed first, followed by videos

The download handles photos and videos sequentially rather than writing many originals to the gallery at once. This reduces simultaneous temporary storage for large videos and competition between gallery-save tasks.

Progress numbers represent processed items, not the byte percentage of a single large video. They show how many of the entry's media items have been checked.

Remote videos download temporarily before gallery saving

If a video is absent locally, its cloud original is downloaded to temporary storage, its size is checked, and it is saved to the device gallery. The temporary download folder is cleaned afterward.

Remote files require internet access. Valid local files are used when already present. Check gallery permission and available device space before saving.

Distinguish cancellation from partial failure

Canceling stops processing from the next item but does not remove files already saved. Restarting from the beginning can create duplicates, so inspect the gallery first.

Missing originals or permission and network issues may cause some failures while successful files remain. Check photo, video, and failure counts and investigate only the missing items.

Frequently asked questions

Does Download Media also save entry notes?

No. It saves photos and videos to the gallery. Check PDF or ZIP export for preserving titles and text too.

Does canceling erase files already saved?

No. Saved gallery items remain; processing stops from the next item.

Can photos save even if some videos fail?

Yes. Items are processed separately in sequence, so successful photos and videos remain in the gallery.
