Does Pogaem use photos to train AI?
Pogaem does not use the photos and entries you create as AI model training data. Content entrusted to the app for personal recording is not presented as AI training material or repurposed that way without consent.
However, saying that content is not used for AI training is different from saying no information is processed while running the service. Understand the analytics events and security scope below separately.
Analytics events may be processed to operate the service
Analytics events may be processed to check how the app works and assess its quality. This concerns operational data used to understand service behavior; it does not mean photos or entries are supplied for AI training.
Do not interpret the no-AI-training statement as a claim that no data processing occurs. Consult the latest privacy policy for the actual categories of data and their purposes.
Why Pogaem does not claim end-to-end encryption
Pogaem does not describe itself as an end-to-end encrypted service. End-to-end encryption is a specific technical promise that only the sending and receiving devices can decrypt the content. Ordinary app locks or protection during transfer are not equivalent.
The six-digit PIN limits access to opening the app on your current device. It does not establish how the server processes data or prove end-to-end encryption.
Review the audience of a shared calendar too
Privacy involves more than technical settings. Choose photos and notes for a shared calendar with its members in mind. If content includes another person's face or private schedule, check the purpose and intended audience before adding it.
Instagram calendar images and Photolapses are not posted automatically. However, once you share them through an external app, their audience depends on that service's settings.
A photo diary privacy checklist
Decide whether sensitive photos and notes belong in a personal or shared calendar.
Review who belongs to each shared calendar and its current purpose.
Check your phone's screen lock and Pogaem's six-digit PIN separately.
Set the PIN again on a new device, since it does not synchronize.
Review every scene in images or videos prepared for external sharing before posting.
Consult the privacy policy for the latest information about data processing.
Precise wording helps preserve trust
Keep three statements distinct: photos are not used for AI training, analytics events may be processed, and end-to-end encryption is not claimed. Combining them into a blanket security promise could misrepresent the actual scope.
It also helps to manage app access, sharing audiences, and backup file locations separately. This connects the service's specific commitments with the protections you can choose yourself.
